Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)

Assessment

An evaluation conducted by a qualified professional who does not work for the school. You have the right to request an IEE at the school's expense if you disagree with the school's evaluation.

IEE in context

Independent Educational Evaluation comes up across the IEP process — in your IEP document, during meeting prep, and in the federal rights that protect your child. IEP Ally explains where it shows up and what to do about it.
